The Scottish Government have announced today that all schools in Scotland will close at the end of this week in response to the spread of the Corona Virus. This means Letham Primary School and Nursery will be closed to pupils and staff from the start of next week until further notice is provided. At this point the Scottish Government is unable to say when schools will reopen. At Letham we are fully aware of the impact this will have on our children and families and we will look for ways in which we can continue to stay in touch and offer support where necessary.
We are sending home information today with children on how we can use SeeSaw to enable children to access learning at home. Teachers will be able to set class work through the use of the SeeSaw and children can send in their work through the app using either a tablet, laptop or mobile phone. This will require parents to download the additional SeeSaw – The Learning Journal app this is in addition to the parent version you have already. Please look out for the details coming home with your child this week and messages on SeeSaw from staff on how to access this.
We will post further updates as we receive them and please be assured that we will do everything we can to try and minimise the impact this closure will have on children and families.
