Dear Parents and Carers,

Staffing Update

I write to share with you a number of changes regarding staffing at Letham Primary School.

At the end of term we will be saying farewell to a number of staff:

Mrs Michelle Longden, ECP, has worked at Letham PS and Nursery for 22 years. She is a very valued staff member who has worked in Cherry Tree, P1, Nursery and across the school delivering speech and language and literacy interventions. Mrs Longden has been successful in gaining a post with the Parenting and Family Learning team where she will be a huge asset. We’d like to thank Mrs Longden for her dedication and commitment to Letham. She will be very missed.

Mrs Joy Ross, Teacher, will be starting at Viewlands Primary after the summer. Mrs Ross has worked at Letham for 6 years, after previously working as a Probationer teacher at Letham, and in that time has been a much loved teacher! Mrs Ross has shown the utmost dedication in supporting the children she has taught to be the best they can be. I’m sure pupils and families would like to join me in thanking Mrs Ross for all her hard work and effort during her time at Letham and wish her all the best as she moves on to a new adventure. We will miss you Mrs Ross!

Miss Jodie Lang, Teacher, will be joining Luncarty Primary School in August. Miss Lang has been a big part of our Early Years team this session. We would like to thank Miss Lang for her commitment this year and wish her all the best as she starts a new chapter in her career. Thank you Miss Lang!

In August we will be welcoming Mrs Catriona Dowling to the Letham PS team. You will have the opportunity to meet her shortly. We are also pleased to be able keep Miss Douglas as Acting DHT (Early Years) for next session. Finally we’d like to offer our congratulations to Mr Fortune who got married at the weekend!
