Welcome Back!

Welcome Back to Letham!

It was lovely to welcome all the children back to school today and I hope all families have had an enjoyable and restful holiday! A particularly warm welcome to our new children in Nursery and P1 who are starting their school journey here at Letham.  We are now looking forward to a really exciting year ahead, with lots planned for the children and also for parents to come along and support with.

The Morrison builders have been incredibly busy over the summer and we now have a fantastic ,renovated GymHall, Assembly Hall, Central area and corridors. The new Nursery building structure is up and we look forward to seeing it progress over this year.

Meet the teacher

This Friday 23rd August at 2.30pm we would like to invite you to drop into your child’s class and meet their new class teacher. This will give you an early opportunity to put a face to their name and we look forward to working with parents to support your child this session.

SeeSaw

At the start this  new school year we will be sending out a new code for you to use on SeeSaw for your child’s new class. Unfortunately this means that the work from last year’s class will no longer be available for you to look at. However you can download this and save it on your own computer. We will send out new codes early next week so if you would like to save your child’s work you will need to do this by Monday 26th August.

For new parents - SeeSaw is an app that we use in school to communicate with parents. Teachers will put messages, class information and share children’s work and successes with you through the app. We will send out information on how to get the app next week with your child.

Social Snack

We will continue to provide a range of healthy snacks for the children at breaktime, including fruit, toast, milk, crumpets etc. However I am afraid we are no longer able to provide this free of charge due to budget pressures. If you would like your child to have a snack at school then we will now charge £1 per week, which can be paid at the start of the week. We will start this on Monday 26th August

Drop off

Given the very limited space in the front carpark could I ask all families to use the back carpark on Fortingall Place if they are dropping children off at school in the car.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries.

Kind regards
